Year 2013

Bounpaul Phothyzan's intention is to bring public awareness to Laos' social and environmental concerns, and ultimately to the human desire to manipulate nature for self-satisfaction.  This is conveyed through the use of unnaturally human-shaped fruit - Na Li Phon.  According to Hmong folklore, these 'Miracle Fruits' bring good fortune to those who possess them, but they also allude to man's natural instinct to manipulate his destiny in the pursuit of a comfortable life.
